Tasks and use cases

Listed interfaces

Public documentation reviewed only (docs-reviewed). Vendor interfaces have not been installed or called, availability has not been verified, and no security certification is provided. Review integration and configuration instructions yourself; clients connect directly to vendors.

API · Microsoft Graph REST API

Vendor untestedOfficial
Capabilities
  • Access authorized mail and calendars
  • Query OneDrive and SharePoint files
  • Access team collaboration and user data
Environments
  • Cloud
Authorization
Uses access tokens issued by the Microsoft identity platform. Delegated and application permissions differ; some scopes or application permissions require administrator consent.

Connect after human review

  1. Confirm that the target is Microsoft 365 office data, then read the relevant Graph resource documentation.
  2. Choose delegated or application access in your own client, request minimum permissions and check administrator consent.
  3. Review licensing, tenant policy and data scope before connecting directly to Microsoft. The directory does not perform OAuth or store credentials.

Limitations and open questions

  • Only public documentation was reviewed. No vendor login, installation, connection or API call was performed. This is not an availability test, security certification or endorsement.
  • Support differs across personal accounts, organization tenants, regional clouds and permission modes. Graph authorization is not Azure subscription resource-management permission.

MCP · Microsoft MCP Server for Enterprise (preview)

Vendor untestedOfficial
Capabilities
  • Run read-only Microsoft Graph queries over Entra users, groups, applications and devices for administrative reporting
Environments
  • Cloud
Authorization
Microsoft Entra delegated user permissions; tenant and client registration required
Pricing source
No separate MCP license or additional enablement cost; licenses for underlying accessed data still required. View pricing source

Connect after human review

  1. Review official documentation, applicable versions, deployment conditions, permissions and cost sources before connecting.
  2. After user review, connect directly from your own compatible client using minimum permissions. Keep vendor credentials in your own environment.
  3. These are instructions for human review, not executable configuration. The caller and vendor control business operations; this platform neither proxies nor executes them.

Limitations and open questions

  • Public documentation only. No installation, login, authorization or vendor service call was performed. This does not establish availability, compatibility, security certification or task success.
  • The vendor interface may also support writes or deletion. Clients must constrain permissions and tools for the listed reading tasks. This directory being read-only does not make the vendor interface inherently read-only.
  • Documented read-only Entra identity/directory scenarios in public preview, not general Outlook, Teams or OneDrive access. No vendor authentication or tool call was performed.
  • Public preview for read-only Entra identity/directory scenarios; not a general Outlook, Teams or OneDrive connector, and limited to the global cloud.
  • Microsoft MCP Server for Enterprise is in public preview. Its current scope is read-only Microsoft Entra identity and directory queries; this does not establish mail, SharePoint, Teams, or full Microsoft 365 data access. The reviewed overview lists the global service only. User privileges, granted scopes, and underlying data licenses still apply.

An unlisted MCP, API or CLI means this directory has no reviewed record. It does not establish that the vendor has no such interface.

Microsoft Graph MCP documentationChecked:

Review scope: Supplied research documentation scope: Opened official overview and setup docs. Public preview; scope is Entra identity/directory read-only scenarios, not a general Outlook/Teams/OneDrive data connector. Global cloud only. Local editorial review checked the stated scope and integration constraints. Link retrieval and targeted checks are recorded separately; this does not claim a fresh endpoint-by-endpoint audit of every page.

Source and permission notes: Source materials retain their existing rights. Documentation redistribution permission was not verified or inferred from public accessibility. This directory provides original summaries and source links.

Microsoft Graph pricing or deployment sourceChecked:

Review scope: Official pricing or deployment source recorded by the supplied research. This pass did not re-audit every price-table item. See interface notes for plan restrictions and recheck before connecting.
